资源简介:
Lamoka Point (4 views). Feature 34 was relatively small (46 cm x 20 cm) and excavated to a depth of 46 cm. Beside the Lamoak point, the feature contained 19 chert flakes and some charcoal. the function of this feature is uncertain. It is located just inside the wall of an Iroquoian longhouse. The charcoal was submitted to Beta Analytic for AMS dating (Beta-220574). The sample had a measured radiocarbon age of 300+or - 40 B.P. with a conventional radiocarbon age of 240 + or - 40. A two sigma calibration (A.D. 1530 to 1650 and A.D. 1630 to 1680) corresponds with the Iroquoian occupation, believed to date to approximately A.D. 1550. It seems likely therefore, that the feature is Iroquoian with the Lamoka point becoming incorporated in the feature fill.
