Comparative gene expression profiling of telomerase-reverse transcriptase (TERT)-immortalised BJ fibroblasts and those with overexpression of myristoylated AKT1 (myrAKT1)

We use RNA-seq to characterise the transcriptional programs of proliferating BJ-TERT fibroblasts versus those undergoing myrAKT1-induced senescence (6 days). BJ-TERT fibroblasts were either non-transduced or transduced with pBabe-puro-myrAKT1 to induce senescence and at 6 days post-transduction, total RNA was extracted for RNA-seq.
