Regionalized dataset for historical hydrogen production and use

This dataset offers an open, accessible compilation of historical data (2005-2023) aggregated into 36 global regions, covering annual hydrogen production by process, as well as data on current sectoral consumption. Constructed through literature review and data processing, this dataset intends to support Energy System Models (ESMs) and Integrated Assessment Models (IAMs) analyses of hydrogen-based energy transition pathways and, more specifically, to contribute to the hydrogen sub-module of the IAM WILIAM (https://github.com/LOCOMOTION-h2020/WILIAM_model_VENSIM/wiki).
