Gut Microbiota in CKD patients with vascular calcification

Microbiota is closely related with our body function. In chronic kidney disease (CKD), influx of urea and other retained toxins make the gut gut flora changing. Vascular calcification is a primary risk factor in CKD patients. Besides, vascular calcification might be mediated by gut microbiome-derived systemic inflammation. This study, we focused on the composition change of gut microbiome between healthy people, CKD patients and CKD patients with vascular calcification.
