Sequence reads used for taxonomic assignment in a study that conducted a replicated experiment to compare the effect of laboratory methods on the outcome of detecting biodiversity from a lake with universal amplicons (e.g., 16S and COI). These data were generated on an Illumina MiSeq platform with 250 bp paired end reads. These sequences have been processed from raw reads following the bioinformatic pipeline detailed in publication. In the publication we analyzed the taxonomic information, and here we provide the raw sequence data that was used to generate the taxonomic names because as new sequences are added to the NCBI repository the taxonomic name associated with each sequence may change in the future.
