De Novo Genome Sequencing of Serratia sp. ISTD04

Serratia sp. ISTD04, enriched in the chemostat, have carbon dioxide concentrating mechanism as it expresses RuBisCo, carbonic anhydrase and other enzymes related to carbon dioxide sequestration. Along with carbon dioxide sequestration, this strain has potential for calcite precipitation and production of hydrocarbon, fatty acid and its derivatives. The strain can be harnessed commercially to sequester carbon dioxide and can be a possible source for valuable fuel products like kerosene, jet fuel and diesel fuel.
