资源简介:
General Description Drought Soil Moisture Anomalies (SMA) at 12.5km from soil moisture data of EUMETSAT - TU Wien ASCAT-SSM-CDR-12.5km version 7 (H120) climate data record dataset over Europe, monthly time-series (2007-2022) The Soil Moisture Anomalies (SMA) dataset provides Z score soil moisture anomalies of the soil moisture dataset of the EUMETSAT - TU Wien ASCAT-SSM-CDR-12.5km version 7 (H120). The dataset time spans from March 2007 to December 2022 (to be updated to Version 8, H121, that extends to Aug 2024) for the entire globe (here SMAs provided only for Europe so far). The dataset has direct applicability in analysing the soil moisture alterations from the regional to the global scale, as well as in evaluating the multiple other processes dependent on the evolution of soil moisture not only in the hydrosphere but also in the atmosphere and biosphere. The dataset includes: Monthly time-series: Monthly average of SMA generated with soil moisture data aggregated at 10-day periods ('dekad', corresponding to the 1st, 11th and 21th day of each month) following the approach defined in the European and Global Drought Observatories. Data Details Time period: March 2007 – December 2022 Type of data: Soil Moisture Anomaly (z-scored) of soil moisture data aggregated in 10-day periods How the data was collected or derived: ASCAT-SSM-CDR-12.5km version 7 (H120) with all processing computed using Python packages. Statistical methods used: z-scored soil moisture anomalies. Coordinate reference system: EPSG:4326 Bounding box (Xmin, Ymin, Xmax, Ymax): (-25, 25, 65, 72.5) Spatial resolution: 0.008333 d.d. (1km) Image size: 21600 x 8962 File format: Cloud Optimized Geotiff (COG) format. Preprint available at: https://doi.org/10.5194/hess-2024-182 Name convention To ensure consistency and ease of use across and within the projects, we follow the standard Open-Earth-Monitor file-naming convention. The convention works with 10 fields that describe important properties of the data. In this way, users can search files, prepare data analysis etc, without needing to open files. The fields are: Generic variable name: ssma= Surface Soil Moisture Anomaly Variable procedure combination: hsaf.ascat = Satellite Application Facility on Support to Operational Hydrology and Water Management (H SAF) active Advanced SCATterometer (ASCAT)-derived dataset. Statistical methods used: Mean of three dekad (10-day period) soil moisture anomalies per month. Spatial support: 1 km Depth reference: s5cm = surface soil moisture in the uppermost 5 cm layer Time reference begin time: 20070301 = 2007-03-01 Time reference end time: 20221231 = 2022-12-31 Bounding box: eu (go to be updated) = Europe (global (without Antarctica)) EPSG code: epsg.4326 = EPSG:4326 Version code: v20240310 = 2024-03-10 (creation date)
