Bacterial diversity of gut microbiota in rats from Shenyang, China using 16S rRNA sequencing

This project investigates the bacterial diversity of gut microbiota in laboratory rats (Rattus norvegicus) reared at Shenyang Medical College, China. Fecal samples were collected from healthy adult rats. The V3-V4 region of the 16S rRNA gene was amplified and sequenced using the Illumina NovaSeq platform. Sequence data were processed and analyzed using QIIME2. This study provides foundational insights into the gut microbial community structure of rats under specific regional housing conditions.
