16s rRNA sequencing of fecal DNA from wild type B6 mice and Nlrp12-deficient mice

Nlrp12-deficiency is linked to intestinal inflammation. To investigate the microbiome difference from wild type and Nlrp12-deficient mice, we performed 16s rRNA sequencing of fecal DNA isolated from wild type and Nlrp12-deficient mice raised in two different vivarium at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Besides, we also compared the microbiome difference between Nlrp12+/+ and Nlrp12-/- littermates derived from the same heterozygous parents. The results indicate Nlrp12-deficiency cause an dysbiotic microbiome.
