This project sought to explore if real-time hybrid simulation (RTHS) was a viable solution for the seismic-wave-structure interaction modeling conflict. The data from the project can be reused to further investigate and validate wave impact pressure readings to then compare to the measured load cell forces. This project is unique in that it provided additional insight into the novel use of RTHS as a solution to a longstanding modeling conflict. The work is targeted towards the seismic and coastal engineering research communities to help better understand how structures react under seismic and hydrodynamic loading.
