Wolbachia pipientis infection is prevalent in Aedes albopictus. In this project, Wolbachia reads were assembled from Illumina shot gun metagenome sequencing data derived from wild caught Aedes albopictus in Florida USA and Hainan, China, respectively. The draft genomes of wAlbA FL and wAlbB FL, wAlbA HN and wAlbB HN were generated. The genome reference will facilitate the study of interactions between Wolbachia and Aedes albopictus.
