Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi assisted by mycorrhizal helper bacteria improved the resistance of cucumber seedlings to cadmium stress by reshaping the soil microbial community

Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) can effectively alleviate heavy metal stress, whether mycorrhizal helper bacteria (MHB) can further assist AMF alleviate cadmium stress in cucumbers remains unclear. Therefore, in this study, Funneliformis mosseae and Alcaligenes faecalis are used as the test AMF and MHB, respectively. We investigate the effects of no inoculation (CK), single inoculation of AMF (F), single inoculation of MHB (S), and double inoculation of AMF and MHB (FS) on cucumber seedling growth, nutrition and rhizosphere microbial community under cadmium stress.
