In this study, we aim first to assess the association between cigarette smoking and the risk of IBD through a prospective cohort study in the UK Biobank. Then, we evaluate the potential causal association between smoking behaviors and smoking-related DNA methylation with IBD by performing MR analysis, and finally validate the associations via genome-wide methylation and colocalization analyses.These are the source data for Tables and Figures of the manuscript.
