Streptomyces strains isolated from insects that showed no previous Gram-negative inhibition were screened in pairwise competition assays against Gram-negative pathogens while incubated on low level antibiotics. Genomes were sequenced of strains that showed new inhibition of Gram-negative pathogens when incubated on low level erythromycin.
