Single nuclei RNA sequencing from human pluripotent stem cell-derived liver spheroids containing high energy diet and sex steroid treatments, male pluripotent stem cells (P106) and female pluripotent stem cells (H9) were differentiated into hepatic progenitors, hepatic stellate cells and endothelial-like cells and self-aggregated into 3D liver spheres. The spheres were maintained in 3D for >21 days before adding 17B-estradiol or testosterone treatments for female or male spheres respectively. Lactate, pyruvate and octanoate treatment was provided for 48 hours for the spheres that received the hormone treatment and the ones that have not. The nuclei from control (no treatment), LPO (high energy diet, MASLD phenotype) and LPO + hormone spheres were isolated and sequenced. The data was published in Kasarinaite, A., Ramos, M.
