Toward an intensive understanding of sewer sediment prokaryotic community assembly and function

The objectives of this study are to (1) characterize the prokaryotic community diversity and composition of sewer sediment; (2) reveal the response of prokaryotic communities to physicochemical properties; (3) identify the potential prokaryotic interactions using co-occurrence analysis; (4) figure out the relative significance of deterministic and stochastic processes in shaping the prokaryotic assembly in sewer habitat.
