Join us in transcribing the Croton, an extensive flowering genus fom the Euphorbiaceae, or Spurge, family. According to Wikipedia, "Croton" comes from the Greek kroton, which means "tick" and refers to the shape of the seeds of certain species. The US Herbarium holds many Croton specimens, and so we will be presenting several sets of these interesting plants.This expedition of 587 tasks is fully transcribed and validated. This data resource is harvested periodically into the main occurrence index.
