Data Figure 2 main text

The datasheet includes the data corresponding to panels e, through h, of Figure 2 of the main text, as well as data of the inset of panel h. They display the temperature dependence of the magneto-optical Kerr ellipticity (ϵ_K (T)) (blue solid circles) measured in (110)-oriented films. Red solid lines (M(T)) in panels e, though g, are extracted (and rescaled) from fittings to SQUID measurements. The anomalous gyrotropic peaks observed in the ϵ_K (T) curves in panels e, though g, arise from the optical detection of spin-orbit entanglement driven by the Jahn-Teller effect at resonance frequencies ω_g≈2.7 eV (5A_1g - 3E_g transition). Such anomalous peak disappears when the Kerr response is measured away from ω_g, as shown for the ϵ_K (T) curve displayed in panel h, measured at ω_ng≈1.9 eV. It is also absent in polar Kerr spectra measured at any frequency in (001) oriented films (inset of panel h,).
