VPRS 12441 Sewerage Area Files

The Geelong Municipal Waterworks Trust was first established in 1908 and reconstituted under the Geelong Waterworks and Sewerage Act 1909. Its function was the supply of water and sewerage services to Geelong and suburbs.The records in this series record the progressive sewering of that part of the Geelong district under the control of the Trust. Each file in the series relates to a specific part of the scheme. The file contains the Proclamations of Designated Areas, maps of the area and copies of the Notices inserted in the Government Gazette.
