This study aimed to evaluate the transcriptomic response of Paracoccus denitrificans PD1222 exposed to an applied electric potential of +200 mV under aerobic denitrification conditions. RNA-seq analysis was conducted on five biological samples: three independent replicates under 200 mV and two control samples at 0 mV. Differential gene expression changes revealed genes associated with amino acid metabolism, carbohydrate metabolism, membrane transport, and energy metabolism. Overall design: Triplicate cultures of P. denitrificans PD1222 were grown anaerobically in the presence of 7.5 mM nitrate and 3.5 mM succinate as electron donor and acceptor, respectively. Samples were exposed to 0 mV (control) or +200 mV (treatment) for 6 hours.
