Insulator Creek - Community Waterway Restoration Project

This project will involve the community in restoration of a stream bank suffering significant erosion that is also threatening state infrastructure, including the Bruce Highway. A workshop on streambank stabilisation and erosion control will be held for landholders and community members that will include on-ground erosion control works to apply their knowledge. Weed control will assist correcting the stream flow path and a community revegetation field day and a youth planting day will support re-instatement of stabilising riparian vegetation and complete a Mahogany Glider Corridor between Paluma Range NP and Halifax Bay Wetlands NP. The project will reduce sediment loss and build community capacity to address other areas of erosion.
