FAIRsharing record for: FAIRsFAIR Support Programme for Data Repositories

This FAIRsharing record describes: FAIRsFAIR has adopted a two-pronged approach to developing standards for the FAIR certification of repositories: 1) Support for data repositories towards achieving CoreTrustSeal certification, and 2) Support for the “FAIRification” of repositories and improvement of data FAIRness and interoperability. Ten data repositories were selected for the CoreTrustSeal certification support. The submissions were assessed based on the repository’s focus on long-term preservation and on the feasibility of their obtaining CoreTrustSeal certification within the given time frame. The Expert Committee also aimed to achieve a diverse geographical and disciplinary spread among selected repositories. Twelve repositories participate in designing implementation features that will enable and increase repository interoperability; six participating in the development process, and six in the testing process.
