资源简介:
The goal of this project was to examine differences in the rhizosphere microbiome between three genotypes (A. thaliana 35::AVP1-1, A. thaliana Col-0, A. thaliana pCoYMV::AVP1) and three soil types (Arizona garden, Iowa agriculture, and artificial ceramic). This Bioproject contains Illumina MiSeq 2x300 16S rRNA gene amplicon (V3-V4 primer set: 341F and 806R) datasets for both the rhizosphere associated microbiome (RAM; soil adhered to the roots of plans), and the bulk-root associated microbiome (BRAM; soil loosely associated with root systems). We found clear differences in the RAM between transgenic and wild type plants. Our results suggest that the potential alteration of soil microbiomes by transgenic plants should be a factor to consider in their characterization and assessment.
