Root exudates are becoming widely regarded as being important factors in shaping plant associated microbiomes. We screened 238 maize accesssions' root exudates by using the targeted LC-MS and GC-MS and used some accessions with the highest or lowest DIMBOA and GABA concentration to perform the field experments. 16S rRNA sequencing was done for the rhizosphere and root samples to understand the how exudate concentraiton affect the soil microbial communities structure and composition. And mRNA-seq were was done in the rhizosphere soil samples to understand the how exudate concentraiton affect the soil microbial communities functional groups.
