Minutes of Meeting: IFLA Regional Council, 1 July 2025

The sixteenth meeting of the Regional Council 2023-2025 was held virtually on 1 July 2025. Items discussed during this meeting include welcome by the Regional Council Chair, followed by updates from Regional Division Committee Chairs, and Headquarters. Additionally, the handover process and handover materials to the next Regional Council and Division Committees were discussed. The Regional Council Chair presented papers presenting the learnings from RDC self-assessments and good practices in regional-professional collaborations. Final reports from RDCs, celebrating a successful mandate were also presented. Updates on IFLA governance processes (WLIC review, Code of Practice, Governance Structure Health Check), alongside updates on the handbook provisions on removing inactive members were presented and on the elections and data from 2025 elections. The agenda also included initial results from two surveys: Regional Advocacy Priorities Survey and Regional Professional Priorities Survey.
