Transcriptome analysis of genes associated with insecticide resistance in Aedes aegypti in Puerto Rico

Here, we use RNA seq to examine the gene expression profile of malathion, alpha cypermethrin, and lambda cyhalothrin resistant and susceptible strains of Aedes aegypti from two study sites in Puerto Rico. Knowledge from this research will improve our understanding of the molecular basis of resistance to multiple insecticides in a medically important mosquito species which is essential for development of resistance management strategies.
