Network traffic measurements for 4G, 5G and 6G services

This dataset presents two major contributions. On the one hand, it contains real traffic measurements for current 4G/5G services obtained from collecting real traffic measurements from the Telefonica Mobile Network during a week in 2025. Specifically, it shows the mapping of different traffic into separated services, showing the difference in the traffic patterns of each service along a week. On the other hand, estimated traffic measurements for expected 6G use cases are provided. Based on the 6G use cases defined in the project DESIRE6G (Horizon Europe research programme, G.A. no. 101096466), LLM-based analysis has been used to correlate the functional requirements and KPIs of those foreseen 6G use cases with real 4G/5G Telefonica traffic measurements, in order to obtain estimated, likely traffic patterns for those unprecedented 6G use cases.
