Field nutrient balances on five farms in Yläne, Finland, 2000 - 2005

The data originates from national monitoring on the effects of the Finnish agri-environment support scheme (MYTVAS). In 2000 - 2005, data related to the nutrient balances and soil mineral N contents were collected on five farms representing different production systems. On each farm, five field parcels were studied. Information on field nutrient input and output, and management information like sowing date etc. were collected from the farmers. Soil mineral nitrogen contents were measured by soil samples from soil layers 0 - 30 cm, 30 - 60 cm and 60 - 80 cm on all 15 fields in autumn. In spring, samples were taken on the fields that contained more than 50 kg mineral N /ha in autumn.
