Growth properties of mifSR mutants in presence of TCA cycle intermediates.

+++, growth;---, no growthGrowth of the wild type PAO1 and mifSR mutants was tested in M9 minimal media supplemented with different TCA cycle intermediates at 30 mM each, as the sole carbon source. Cells were cultured for 18 to 24 h at 37°C and their growth was monitored by measuring the absorbance at 600 nm. No difference was observed in the growth rate of mifSR mutants compared to the parent PAO1 strain.
