NRS-17907 | Maintenance register [Carrathool Court of Petty Sessions]

This volume is for the purpose of keeping an account of payments made by men ordered by the court to pay maintenance for their illegitimate children. The following information is given: the name of the mother and father, address of both mother and father, the name of the magistrate and court the order was made in, the date the order was made, the date the order commenced and the date the first payment was received on, the amount per week to be paid, the length of time the maintenance is to be paid for, and the name of the child. Columns are provided to fill in the following information: Receipts – date, receipt number, date account is paid to, amount received, and the initials of the receiving officer; Disbursements – date, amount paid, initials of paying officer, acquittances – signature of payee or station to which forwarded and the number of the receipt it corresponds to.The volume only contains two maintenance accounts.
