Advancing Lung Tissue Engineering Through the Discovery of Factors that Control Alveolar Epithelial Cell Fate (AT2 scRNA-seq)

The objective of this study was to compare uncultured primary human alveolar epithelial type 2 cells (AT2s) isolated from lungs to AT2s that were expanded in large-scale. Overall design: Alveolar type 2 cells were isolated from human lung tissue and expanded for 3 passages. Isolated cells (uncultured, UC, or isoAT2), passage 0, and passage 2 cells from 3 donors were analyzed using scRNA-seq.
