Municipal waste incinerated in Italy 2022, by region

Lombardy is the Italian region with the largest amount of municipal waste incinerated. In 2022, almost 1.9 million metric tons of municipal waste were incinerated in the northern region of Lombardy. This was followed by Emilia-Romagna, where the amount of incinerated municipal waste amounted to approximately 0.9 million metric tons that year.
