Wheat Yield Data for Australia from 1953-1983 is available from the
Bureau of Rural Resources. Statistical and trend data for yields and
intensity of wheat cropping in Australia's wheat belt over the period
1953-1983. Data relate to Local Government Area averages with data
points located within the LGA. Data covers several statistical
parameters for these areas within the wheat belt :
Latitude/longitude of LGA is a point near centre of LGA to within a
tenth of a degree.
Wheat area as percentage of LGA
Mean wheat yield(kgm/hectare)Mean over period 1953-1983
Linear yield trend(kg/ha/yr) for the years 1953-1983
r for yield trend
Projected yield at 1983 - Wheat yield projected from 1953-83 trend
S and s/x are also available
The data is all available in digital form flat files.
