Localized plant species-specific BVOC emission rate library for China

Localized plant species-specific BVOC emission rate library was established based on our and reported local field measurements, a statistical approach of classifying more detailed emission categories and assigning the representative emission rates used in BVOC emission inventory was developed. The developed library included the isoprene, monoterpene, and sesquiterpene emission rates for 599 native plant species. Critically, different level of reliability was given to each emission rate according to the measurement technique. This library will be significant for improving the accuracy of local biogenic emission inventory and furtherly the modeling of air quality.
