Minutes of the first business meeting of the IFLA Library Theory and Research (LTR) Section held via Zoom on 1 October 2025. The meeting covered strategic planning for the 2025–2027 term, including the creation of a survey working group, discussion of research priorities such as libraries’ role in the age of AI, planning for WLIC 2026 and a potential satellite meeting in Japan, communication and visibility initiatives, collaboration on LIS education and iSchools, and scheduling of future meetings. Action points and working groups were established to advance these objectives.
