The Bank Regulatory Database provides accounting data for bank holding companies, commercial banks, savings banks, and savings and loans institutions. Banking Suite by WRDS consists of three parts: Bank Regulatory, Bank Regulatory Premium, and Legacy Bank Regulatory. Bank Regulatory provides raw call report data from the FFIEC and bank holding company financials and structure data from the NIC on an ongoing basis. Legacy Bank Regulatory provides similar data from the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago which stopped updating data in 2021. Bank Regulatory Premium provides additional data sourced by WRDS through FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) requests or calculated from the raw FFIEC and NIC data. Bank Regulatory Premium also requires a subscription to access the data. Please view WRDS data terms of service prior to use.
