SOCIO-PSYCHOLOGICAL PROBLEMS OF CHILD UPBRINGING IN THE MODERN FAMILY

This article provides an extensive and in-depth scientific analysis of the socio-psychological problems of child-rearing in the modern family. Drawing on numerous empirical studies, meta-analyses, longitudinal observations, and both local and international sources, the paper elaborates on issues such as increasing family stress, breakdown of communication between parents and the younger generation, the negative impact of the digital environment, economic uncertainty, shifting gender roles, declining parental mental health, family conflicts, emotional isolation of children, and social adaptation difficulties. The results indicate that the transformation of the family institution in modern conditions, combined with global trends (urbanization, individualism, increased screen time, work pressure), poses serious threats to children's psychological resilience, self-esteem, and the formation of social skills. The article proposes empirically-based approaches to mitigate these problems (family therapy, parent education programs, digital hygiene, psychological support systems) and offers recommendations adapted to the specific context of Uzbekistan.
