VPRS 7632 General Correspondence Files, Multiple Number System

This series records information about the activities of the Victorian Dairy Industry Authority in relation to purchase and marketing of milk, control of milk supplies (including price determination) together with research into production methods and quality controls. As the Victorian Dairy Industry Authority was also the licensing body for milk supplies, many of the files were related to investigations and audits of milk processing plants as well as liaison with the Authority and individual suppliers, etc.Many of the large advertising campaigns were undertaken by the Victorian Dairy Industry Authority (eg. Big M) and files were related to the development of these projects.General administrative matters such as buildings, etc., were also included.
