A price survey conducted across supermarkets nationwide revealed that the average price of 1 kg of lettuce was 667 yen in October 2024. Over the period from January 2015 to October 2024 (a total of 118 months), the highest price for lettuce in any month was recorded in January 2018 at 1,172 yen, while the lowest price was in July 2017 at 286 yen. The price difference between the highest price period (January 2018) and the lowest price period (July 2017) for lettuce across the national area was 885.8519 yen.
