Little is known about SD mechanisms of Sebastes rockfishes, a highly speciose genus of importance to evolutionary and conservation biology. Study characterizes the sex determination system in the sympatrically distributed sister species S. chrysomelas and S. carnatus by identifying sex-specific genotypic markers.
