Targeted Bisulfite Sequencing of Plasma and Tumor Biopsy DNA for Melanoma Detection

This project investigates DNA methylation patterns in melanoma using targeted bisulfite sequencing of five genomic regions (HIST1H4F, ITGA4, CHFR, ABCB1, and SPTBN1) in two sample types: plasma-derived circulating tumor DNA (cfDNA) and tumor tissue biopsies. The study aims to develop a non-invasive diagnostic tool for melanoma detection and monitor patient response to immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy using next-generation sequencing (NGS).The dataset includes FASTQ files from both biopsy DNA and cfDNA, annotated with relevant metadata for sample type, disease stage, and treatment response where available.
