UK: public rapid EV charging points per 100,000 people by quarter 2020-2024

As of July 2024, there were some 18.5 publicly available rapid electric vehicle charging points, per 100,000 people residing in the United Kingdom. This rate has been steadily increasing over the past quarters, as the United Kingdom developed its electric vehicle charging network. However, despite this increase in rapid charging points, they were the minority among the total EV charging infrastructure in the UK. At the beginning of the third quarter of 2024, there were around 95.6 public charging points per 100,000 inhabitants including rapid and slow charging.
