This dataset contains annual mean atmospheric pressure data of China at 1 km resolution, covering the period from 1981 to 2015. The data is derived from annual mean station-level atmospheric pressure records from 824 national reference and basic meteorological stations across China during 1981–2015. After strict quality control and screening, the national 1 km resolution topographic DEM was adopted as a covariate, and spatial interpolation was performed using the thin plate spline (TPS) method implemented in the ANUSPLIN software to generate annual gridded data of China's land surface at 1 km × 1 km resolution for the years 1981–2015. For convenient storage, all data are stored as int16 type, with the unit of 0.1 hPa. The dataset contains 35 data files, which are named by the corresponding year. For example, the file named "1981+13" corresponds to the data of 1981. The geographical coverage of this dataset includes the main land areas of China (including Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan regions), excluding areas such as the South China Sea islands and reefs.
