This dataset contains modeled daily marine heatwave (MHW) intensity in the Northern Humboldt Current System across three time periods: a historical baseline (2000–2014), a mid-term projection (2048–2062), and a long-term projection (2082–2096), under a pessimistic climate scenario. The data are derived from multiple CMIP climate models, specifically IPSL, GFDL, and CNRM, providing a multi-model perspective on projected changes in extreme ocean temperature events. Marine heatwave intensity is expressed in degrees Celsius (degC) and represents the magnitude of temperature anomalies. Each NetCDF file corresponds to one of the three periods and contains a four-dimensional variable structured as follows: CMIP model, time (daily resolution), latitude, and longitude. The time variable is defined as days since 2000-01-01 using a standard Gregorian calendar. This dataset enables the assessment of temporal changes in marine heatwave intensity from historical conditions to mid- and late-21st century projections in the Northern Humboldt Current System, a highly productive and climate-sensitive eastern boundary upwelling system. It is particularly suitable for studies on climate change impacts on marine ecosystems, fisheries, and regional ocean variability under high-emission scenarios.
