High entropy (HE) alloys are developing these last years due to their interesting mechanical properties. They are composed of at least five chemical elements. On another hand, shape memory alloys (SMA) exhibit specific superelastic behavior when submitted to mechanical loading due to a stress-induced martensitic transformation. New alloys combining HE and SMA effects have been developed: their mechanical behavior has to be determined at the grain scale to serve as further finite element modeling input data. So the aim of this proposal is to study the martensitic transformation of these alloys during an in-situ tensile test.
