Number of unemployed people in Morocco 2015-2022, by area of residence

Out of around 1.4 million unemployed people in Morocco as of the third quarter of 2022, approximately 1.1 million lived in urban areas. The unemployed population living in rural areas instead amounted to 236,000 as of the same period. Compared to 2021, the number of unemployed people in rural areas remained quite stable, while the unemployed urban population decreased.
