Synthetic databases Southern Iceland - 2026

This repository is organized into six independent databases, one for each period (1s, 2s, 3s, 5s, 7s, 10s) and each database contains data for 16,667 synthetic earthquakes recorded by a network of 567 synthetic seismic stations located in Southern Iceland. Each record represent an event-station pair and includes the source, site and source-to-site geometric parameters together with the correponding synthetic ground-motion intensity measures. The dataset contains the following variables: Site latitude and longitude Hypocenter latitude, longitude and depth Magnitude Distance and azimuth Ground motion intensity provide as log10(RotD50), where the acceleration is expressed in cm/s2 This research was funded by the European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (JU) and associated countries under grant agreement No 101093038 (ChEESE-2P) and by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 (PCI2022-134980-2).
