Italy: value of investments in biomass heating systems 2020, by scenario

This statistic shows the result of a study on the value of investments in biomass heating systems in the residential sector in Italy in 2020, by scenario. The benchmark used for the estimates was the value of investments in 2017, which amounted to 240 million euros. Taking as reference the value of investments that have already been realized in this sector and the level of penetration of new technologies, the research hypothesized two different developments for the market of biomass fired appliances. In the baseline scenario, which implies an annual growth rate of eight percent, the value of investments in biomass heating systems in the residential sector is expected to reach 300 million euros by the end of 2020.
