West Tuggerah Lakes Landcare Support Stage 1

Stage 1 of this project aims to rehabilitate sections of the foreshores along the western side of the Tuggerah Lakes estuary by assisting and extending work undertaken by local Landcare groups. Works will include bush regeneration activities (weeding, planting, erosion control) litter removal, minor stormwater treatment device maintenance and management of salt marsh. These activities will assist with improving the biodiversity of the foreshore, protecting threatened species and their habitats and improving community access within reserves where weeds currently inhibit access. Installation of interpretive signage and field days will aim to increase the local communityÍs knowledge and participation in natural resource management in the area.
