资源简介:
Cadmium, a non-biodegradable element in the environment, has emerged as a global problem due to its pollution resulting from agricultural and industrial development. However, the molecular mechanisms of cadmium stress on immune suppression, oxidative stress, and energy metabolism in the marine economic fishes remain unclear in greenfin horse-faced filefish (Thamnaconus septentrionalis). To investigate the transcriptional profiles of filefish under Cd stress, we employed a quantitative transcriptome sequencing approach. UMI barcodes were utilized to identify duplicate reads resulting from PCR amplification, and the cDNA fragments were sequenced using the Illumina novaseq 6000 Platform. We further evaluated the global gene expression profiles by investigating the DEGs associated with Cd exposure in filefish. A total of 2,451 DEGs (1,323 up- and 1,128 down-regulated) in Cd_12h vs Cd_0h, 5,696 DEGs (2,821 up- and 2,875 down-regulated) in Cd_48h vs Cd_0h, and 5,075 DEGs (2,382 up- and 2,693 down-regulated) in Cd_7d vs Cd_0h were identified, respectively. These study will provide novel insights into the toxic effects of cadmium on gill injuries in marine fish.
